Permits Online: More Permit Types and Amendments Available in May 2011

We have been very pleased with public reaction to our newest eGovernment initiative, Permits Online, which is TTB’s new method for drafting, submitting, and tracking original and amended applications to operate alcohol and tobacco businesses.

The second release of Permits Online, which will be launched in May 2011, will facilitate electronic filing of the following types of original TTB permits:

Owner Officer Information (required for all permit types)
Winery applications
Alcohol Wholesaler and Importer applications
Specially Denatured Spirits applications – Dealers & Users **New**
Tax Free Alcohol Users applications **New**
Spirits for Use by US Government applications **New**

In addition, if you filed your original application through Permits Online this release will also facilitate filing for amendments to those permits as follows:

Amendments to Winery permits **New**
Amendments to alcohol Wholesaler and Importer permits **New**
Amendments to Specially Denatured Spirits permits – Dealers & Users **New**
Amendments to Tax Free Alcohol User permits **New**
Amendments to Spirits for Use by US Government permits **New**
