Donna is the Supervisor of the Information
Technology Team of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax
and Trade Bureau’s (TTB’s) Advertising,
Labeling and Formulation Division (ALFD). As
supervisor, Ms. Smith’s position is three-fold.
She supports the information technology systems
as well as the contracting and budget administration
areas for the division.
Ms. Smith began her career at the Board of
Governors of the Federal Reserve System, as
a statistical assistant, writing computer programs.
She brings more than 23 years of experience
in the information technology field to her position.
She entered her current position at a time when
the Bureau’s first electronic initiative,
COLAs Online, a system that allows applicants
to e-file the Certificate of Label Approval
(COLA) form was in the early design stages.
In the future, Ms. Smith plans to further her
team’s involvement in e-Government initiatives.
Ms. Smith is a native of Brunswick, Maine,
has two children, a daughter in her freshman
year in college and a son entering high school.
Ms. Smith resides in northern Virginia with
her husband and son.
