Director of the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Advancement

Tram-Tiara Ngo serves as the Director of the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Advancement. She oversees the Bureau’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Programs to include: EEO Counseling, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Discrimination Complaints, Special Emphasis Programs, Recruitment Activities, Diversity, and Early Conflict Prevention and Resolution. Ms. Ngo is leading the efforts for training the Bureau's workforce in EEO, Diversity and Sexual Harassment Prevention.

Ms. Ngo joined the Federal government in 1991 and began her EEO career as an Intern with the Department of the Army in 1993. During her internship, she was certified as an EEO Counselor, Mediator, and Instructor for EEO Counselor's Training Course and Training in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment. In 1997, Ms. Ngo joined the Food and Drug Administration to manage the Diversity and Complaints Programs, and was also responsible for writing Final Agency Decisions. In 2003 she transferred to the Small Business Administration to serve as the EEO Counseling and Alternative Dispute Resolution Program Manager. Ms. Ngo joined the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in February 2005.

Ms. Ngo is a Vietnamese American who immigrated to the United States with her family in 1975. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and earned her Master of Arts in Leadership from Duquesne University. Ms. Ngo is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership and Organizational Change at Walden University. She has written articles for The Washington Accountant magazine and Asian Fortune newspaper. She served as the 1998 and 2001 Conference Chair for the National Association of Professional Asian American Women and has been a member since 1996.
