2010 SOUTHEAST WINE SEMINAR

The Southeast District of TTB is hosting a FREE one-day seminar for the wine industry on April 22, 2010, in Dobson, North Carolina.  TTB Investigators and Specialists will present topics that will help you better understand Federal requirements relevant to the wine industry and help you avoid common compliance oversights. 

Agenda:
Morning - Changes after Qualification, Alternations/Custom Crush, Taxes
Noon - Lunch (Available for purchase on site)
Afternoon - Labeling, Recordkeeping and Reports, Current Issues

There is no cost to attend this seminar, but online registration is required. Due to limited space, early registration is recommended.

TTB ANNOUNCES PROPOSALS TO EXPAND THE SANTA MARIA VALLEY VITICULTURAL AREA AND RENAME THE YAMHILL-CARLTON DISTRICT VITICULTURAL AREA

We have published two notices of proposed rulemaking on March 4, 2010. The first, Notice No.103, proposes to expand the Santa Maria Valley viticultural area in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, California, by 18,790 acres. The second, Notice No. 104, proposes to rename the established Yamhill-Carlton District viticultural area located in Yamhill and Washington Counties, Oregon, as the "Yamhill-Carlton'' viticultural area. The size and boundary description of the renamed viticultural area would remain the same.

Written comments on either notice must be received on or before May 3, 2010.

NCSLA SEEKING NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
