SPRING 2010 "UNIFIED AGENDA OF FEDERAL REGULATORY AND DEREGULATORY ACTIONS" PUBLISHED

The Spring 2010 edition of the "Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions,"  also known as the Unified Agenda,  was published on April 26, 2010.  The Unified Agenda provides a biannual overview of the regulatory actions that Federal Government agencies are considering or reviewing.  The Unified Agenda is published online in the Spring and Fall by the Regulatory Information Center, a unit of the General Services Administration, as required by the Regulatory Flexibility Act and Executive Order 12866.

The complete Spring 2010 Unified Agenda, which contains the regulatory agendas for TTB and 56 other Federal agencies, is available online at http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaMain.  The Spring 2010 Unified Agenda contains information on 53 TTB rulemaking actions.  To view TTB's portion of the Unified Agenda, go to the bottom of that web page to the "Select Agency" box and select "Department of the Treasury" from the drop-down menu, and click "Submit."  The Unified Agenda entries for the various units of the Department of the Treasury, including TTB, will be displayed.  Entries for other Federal agencies may be viewed in a similar manner.

You may read a summary of each entry by clicking on the appropriate Regulatory Information Number (RIN) link in the list.  This summary includes the rulemaking's title, an abstract summarizing what the rulemaking will do, the CFR section(s) affected, the legal authority for the rulemaking, a time table showing the actual or anticipated dates of each major step in the rulemaking process, and the agency's contact person for the rulemaking.

If you have any questions about the Unified Agenda please contact either the TTB contact person for a particular rulemaking, or for more general questions contact the TTB Regulations and Rulings Division at 202-453-2265.
