TTB is hosting two training sessions targeting Alcohol Beverage Producers, Domestic Bottlers, and Importers and Wholesalers. TTB experts from the Tax Audit Division, the Trade Investigations Division, and the Advertising, Labeling and Formulation Division will present topics on Federal requirements relevant to the regulated industries and will help you avoid common compliance pitfalls.

TTB APPROVES VARIOUS SUBSTITUTE DENATURANTS FOR USE IN SPECIALLLY DENATURED ALCOHOL

We have been asked whether hexane (mixed isomers), n-hexane, cyclohexane, heptane, potassium hydroxide, distilled lime oil (Citrus aurantifolia), lemon oil (Citrus limonium), and cornmint oil (Mentha arvensis and Mentha canadensis) may be used as substitute denaturants in specially denatured alcohol (SDA).  Please see link below for more information.
