TTB Notice No. 41 Comments

FORM LETTER 28

Dear Mr. Foster,

I would like you to approve a proposal for allowing serving fact information to be printed on alcoholic beverage labels.

This proposal can also help clarify what a standard drink is, as well as exactly how much alcohol the drink contains. Often, drinks sold in variable sizes make me confused about what exactly I am drinking. The difference between a "King Size" chocolate bar and a regular one is clearly displayed by the facts displayed on the candy's packaging. This same principle can be applied to the consumption of alcohol. Consumers can become more aware of their intake if serving facts are allowed on alcohol beverage packaging.

Because this information is everywhere else, people are in the habit of looking for it. We should put it on alcohol bottles too.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

[Brewery/Business/Association Name Here]
