Comment 0410047 U.S. TTB Dear U.S. TTB, I am writing today to urge the TTB to approve the proposal to include basic information like serving size, alcohol per serving, carbohydrates and calories on spirits, wine and beer bottles. I have that information on everything else I eat or drink, and I believe that alcoholic beverages should be no different. Allowing basic information on labels would also help adult consumers adhere to the advice on moderate alcohol consumption in the Federal Government's Dietary Guidelines for Americans. And, since alcohol beverages are sold in an increasingly broad variety of formulations, container sizes and alcohol strengths, I'd like information that will help clarify what constitutes a "standard drink." I believe this is an issue of common sense and am confident that other consumers would agree with me. Please allow beverage alcohol companies to include this basic information on their packages. Thank you very much for your consideration. Sincerely, Chris Hartless 2217 Berks St Napa, California 94558 cc: Senator Dianne Feinstein Senator Barbara Boxer Representative Mike Thompson Director Jerry Jolly
