I have that information on everything else I eat or drink, and I believe that alcoholic beverages should be no different. Allowing basic information on labels would also help adult consumers adhere to the advice on moderate alcohol consumption in the Federal Government's Dietary Guidelines for Americans. And, since alcohol beverages are sold in an increasingly broad variety of formulations, container sizes and alcohol strengths, I'd like information that will help clarify what constitutes a "standard drink." I believe this is an issue of common sense and am confident that other consumers would agree with me. Please allow beverage alcohol companies to include this basic information on their packages. Thank you very much for your consideration. Sincerely, Marc Ziss 3114 Eisenhower Drive Norristown, Pennsylvania 19403 cc: Senator Arlen Specter Senator Rick Santorum Representative Jim Gerlach Chairman Jonathan Newman
