Congressional Liaison

MISSION

The Congressional Liaison coordinates and initiates all congressional contacts, and supports other Bureau entities in carrying out their responsibilities in this area.

FUNCTIONS

• Advise the Executive Staff of developing issues
• Solicit and coordinate TTB review of pending or draft legislation
• Coordinate and review responses to inquiries from Members of Congress or State legislators, checking each response for content, responsiveness, and tone
• Assist District Directors with the preparation of briefing materials for use in visits to congressional district offices, when needed
