This industry circular, which supersedes Industry Circular 2003-3, reminds alcohol industry members that “tie-in sales” of alcohol beverage products are prohibited. (02/01/12)

TTB Issues Ruling to Confirm Andong Soju and Gyeongju Beopju as Geographical Designations for Distilled Spirits
This ruling confirms that “Andong Soju” and “Gyeongju Beopju” are geographical designations for distilled spirits and that they must be manufactured in the Republic of Korea.  (01/17/12)

TTB Updates DSP Tutorial on Compliance and Tax Issues
Earlier this year, TTB modernized its Part 19 regulations for distilled spirits plants.  We have updated this tutorial to reflect those changes. (12/21/2011)

Notice No. 124 Proposes Revisions to DSP Operations Reports
In this notice, TTB proposes to replace the current four operations report forms used by distilled spirit plants with two new report forms, TTB F 5110.77 for beverage alcohol and TTB F 5110.78 for industrial alcohol, which would be submitted on a monthly or quarterly basis.  You may view copies of this notice, the proposed forms, and any comments received about this proposal on the Regulations.gov website within Docket No. TTB-2011-0010.  To submit comments electronically, use the Regulations.gov comment form for Notice No. 124.  To submit comments by postal mail or hand delivery, see the instructions within the notice. Per Notice No. 124A, comments are now due on or before March 5, 2012.  (12/05/11)
