Join us June 24 - 26, 2009, at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Kentucky, for three days filled with learning, networking, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and to interact with the experts in tobacco tax and regulatory matters.

What is TTB Expo 2009?
TTB Expo 2009 is a free educational event that is aimed at persons who operate the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and ammunition businesses we regulate.  TTB has always placed a high premium on providing educational opportunities for industry members because we know that it can be very challenging to understand and comply with all the applicable laws, regulations and policies when operating one of the businesses we regulate.  The response to our first Expo held last June was phenomenal and so here we are again with TTB Expo 2009, packed full of educational sessions, demonstrations and many opportunities to put a face with a name for many of the TTB employees who work every day on your issues.

We are offering  eleven educational sessions on tobacco issues at the Expo this year.  Not only can you learn about TTB requirements, including the latest on the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009, but we’ll have guest speakers from other government agencies too, including the Federal Trade Commission, the Foreign-Trade Zone Board and Customs and Border Protection.

We’ve added a few new features to the Expo this year including an e-Gov Hall where you can get hands-on experience with our Web-based filing systems, and we’ve increased the opportunities to meet with TTB employees either one-on-one or at one of the 30 booths in the Exhibition Hall.

Who Should Attend?
Some of the tobacco sessions are targeted at people who are interested in getting into one of the businesses regulated by TTB, but most are designed to assist persons already in business.  We have specific sessions covering topics like recordkeeping, operational reports and paying taxes which make them ideal for persons who work in those areas.  Industry consultants and attorneys may also be interested in many of the sessions.  Visit the Expo Web site and browse the session schedule to check out the descriptions and target audience information for each session.

Attendee Registration
Online registration is now open!  There is no cost to register, but to assist us with planning we ask that you register in advance if possible.
