Ms. Altivia R. Jackson serves as the Director of the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Advancement. She oversees the Bureau's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Programs to include: EEO Counseling, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Discrimination Complaints, Special Emphasis Programs, Recruitment Activities, Diversity, and Early Conflict Prevention and Resolution. Ms. Jackson is leading the efforts for training the Bureau's workforce in EEO, Diversity and Prevention of Sexual Harassment.
Ms. Jackson retired after serving 21 years in the United States Army. Her EEO career began with the Department of the Army in 1998 when she graduated from the Department of Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institution Equal Opportunity Advisor's Course. In 2007 she joined the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Civil Rights staff where she served as an EEO Specialist. She later became the Deputy EEO Officer for the Department of the Navy, Navy Air Warfare Aircraft Division at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Ms. Jackson joined the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in March 2009.
Ms. Jackson's training includes EEO Counseling, Investigations, Drafting Acceptance Dismissal Letters, Drafting Final Agency Decisions, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, Special Emphasis Program Management, Instructor and Facilitation. She is also a certified Mediator through the Department of Justice. Ms. Jackson is a graduate of Saint Leo University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resource Administration. She also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University.
