How does TTB inform people of proposed and final changes to the regulations?

Updated: March 9, 2004

All Federal agencies, including TTB, publish official notices of its actions in the Federal Register, a publication of the Government Printing Office. The Federal Register is published daily in print and online. You may access Federal Notices by visiting their Web site at http://www.ecfr.gov

As part of publishing a document, the Federal Register places a copy of the manuscript "on file" in their offices the day before it is printed. To view a document at that time, call the Federal Register at 202-523-5240 for details.

As a convenience, we place copies of TTB Notices of Proposed Rulemaking on our Web site on the Federal Register Publications page. You may also submit and view comments on proposed rulemaking from our Web site.
