IN THIS ISSUE

We've sent this corrected version to fix an error with the article about Stephen Robey's appointment.

Greetings!  This week's top news includes that we've revamped our alcohol beverage formula home page, Stephen Robey has been appointed to head the alcohol beverage formula office, and we are issuing a reminder to use the correct address when mailing forms to TTB.

ANNOUNCING REVAMPED ALCOHOL BEVERAGE FORMULA APPROVAL WEB PAGE

We recently redesigned our alcohol beverage formula approval home page to provide customers with an improved, consolidated resource for understanding and complying with TTB beverage formula requirements.

"This page redesign is the first step in improving the quality of information we provide at TTB.gov/ about beverage formulas," said Susan Evans, TTB Executive Liaison of Industry and State Matters. "We've got big plans for additional improvements in the coming months."

Some of the enhancements include better organization of the most requested formula information. Last year we gathered stakeholder input through an online card sorting session, which informed us that our users are looking for formula information to be organized by cross-commodity topics and also broken out by commodity. We used that feedback to design this page where you'll now find key formula topics and commodity-specific information, too.

The redesigned formula approval home page also displays prominent access to links for our application processing times for all TTBOnline applications, quick links to related information, and access to our online services that allow you to do business with TTB, such as preparing and filing your permit applications, operational reports, tax returns, and formula applications, or applying for label approval.

Please visit the new formula approval page at www.ttb.gov/formulation/index.shtml.

STEPHEN ROBEY NAMED NEW ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FORMULATION IN THE ADVERTISING, LABELING, AND FORMULATION DIVISION (ALFD)

Mr. Robey started with TTB in 2004 as a Formula Specialist. He then worked in TTB's International Affairs Division on alcohol trade issues and illicit tobacco. Mr. Robey says, "I'm excited to return to ALFD and help meet TTB's new turnaround standards for beverage alcohol formulas."

REMINDER TO MAIL TTB FORMS TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS

We've noticed an uptick lately in paper forms being mailed to the wrong address. Using the wrong address can significantly impact TTB's ability to timely process paper forms.

It's a good practice to check for the correct address before you send forms to us. You can find the address in the instructions portion of each form. At times our addresses or mail box numbers do change, so in order to reduce preventable delays, confirm the address before you put the form into the envelope.

Please also make sure you always use the current version of any paper form you submit. They can be found on the TTB Forms page at TTB.gov/. We may return any form not submitted on a current approved form, which may delay processing.

Want to avoid problems with knowing where to mail forms? TTB offers electronic filing options for the most commonly used forms. Check out TTB Online to learn more.
