IN THIS ISSUE

Greetings! This week's top news includes three administrative actions related to entities allegedly manufacturing tobacco products without a permit, and a reminder to file operational reports with TTB on time.

TTB ACCEPTS OFFERS IN COMPROMISE FROM THREE ENTITIES FOR MANUFACTURING TOBACCO PRODUCTS WITHOUT A PERMIT

TTB accepted offers in compromise from Free Spirit Social Club, Inc.; Elan of Middleburg, Inc.; and Triple E Investments Corp. for alleged violations of the tobacco tax provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.  All three entities allegedly manufactured tobacco products without a permit or bond and failed to file returns and pay excise tax on the tobacco products that they manufactured and removed.

Please visit TTB.gov/ to see this and other offers in compromise that have been accepted.

OPERATIONAL REPORTS MUST BE FILED ON TIME - KNOW YOUR DUE DATES

We did an analysis, which showed that many industry members who are required to file operational reports do not file them on time in compliance with federal regulations. Failure to file required operational reports by the due date is a violation of the conditions of your permit and can lead to adverse action.

We'd like to take this opportunity to remind members of the wine, beer, distilled spirits, and tobacco industries who are subject to operational report filing requirements of the due dates for these reports:

FILING TIP: We have noticed that industry members who file their operational reports via Pay.gov/ have a better record of filing on time!

Why not sign up to use Pay.gov/ today?
