Greetings!  This week's top news includes the selection of Dr. Yvette Glenn as the Quality and Safety Manager of our TTB laboratories, and a TTB system outage notice about upcoming maintenance.

DR. AGNES YVETTE GLENN SELECTED AS NEW LABORATORY QUALITY AND SAFETY MANAGER

Dr. Glenn joined TTB as a chemist in our Beverage Alcohol Laboratory in 2012, and until recently she led our Enforcement Support Program along with various other responsibilities. She has been serving as the acting Quality and Safety Manager since April 2017, during which time she successfully guided the TTB laboratories through our biennial onsite ISO 17025 accreditation assessment from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), an accreditation body in the United States. In her new role, Dr. Glenn will lead TTB's laboratory Quality Program, including maintaining the ISO 17025 accreditation of our laboratories and the Laboratory Safety Program.

Prior to joining TTB, Dr. Glenn worked at various private industries and brought to TTB a wealth of knowledge and expertise in modern analytical science, analytical techniques, and laboratory management Dr. Glenn received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Southern University A&M College, and a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Emory University.
