TREASURY DEPARTMENT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON BURDEN REDUCING MEASURES – COMMENTS MAY BE SUBMITTED THROUGH OCTOBER 31

On June 14, 2017, the Treasury Department published in the Federal Register a Request for Information to "invite members of the publish to submit views and recommendations for Treasury Department regulations that can be eliminated, modified, or streamlined in order to reduce burdens." Comments were due by July 31, 2017. However, the Docket through which interested persons may submit comments (Docket No. TREAS-DO-2017-0012-0001) remains open through October 31, 2017.

For more information or to submit comments, see Review of Regulations or search by Docket No. TREAS-DO-2017-0012 at www.regulations.gov.

SEMIANNUAL REGULATORY AGENDA UPDATE NOW AVAILABLE

Each spring and fall, the Regulatory Information Service Center, compiles the semiannual Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions, covering approximately 60 departments, agencies, and commissions.
The Unified Agenda provides uniform reporting of data on regulatory and deregulatory activities under development throughout the federal government. Each edition of the Unified Agenda includes regulatory agendas from all federal entities that currently have regulations under development or review.

The full current Regulatory Agenda for the Treasury Department, which includes information on all planned TTB regulatory and deregulatory actions, is available on the General Services Administration's "Regulatory Information" website (click on the Department of the Treasury in the drop-down menu for the Select Agency search box at the bottom of the page).

SBA OFFICE OF ADVOCACY - REGIONAL REGULATORY REFORM ROUNDTABLES

The Office of Advocacy, U.S. Small Business Administration, is hosting a series of Regional Regulatory Reform Roundtables across the country in an effort to hear from small businesses first-hand about what federal regulations most concern and/or impact them. These roundtables provide an opportunity for small business leaders to educate Advocacy and federal agencies through first-hand accounts of how federal regulations impact their small business. The information gathered at these roundtables will be utilized to inform agencies, Congress and the public on what specific regulations can be modified or removed to help small businesses.

Upcoming Roundtables:

St. Louis, MO - September 12, 2017 - Sign up HERE.

Overland Park, KS - September 14, 2017 - Sign up HERE.
