IN THIS ISSUE

Greetings! This week's top news includes announcements that Permits Online will be temporarily shut down later this month so we can make important upgrades to the system, registration is closing soon for our last trade practice seminars of 2018, we're holding another webinar on how to use Formulas Online, there's new CBMTRA guidance available on nonbeverage drawback issues, and COLAs Online has been updated.

PERMITS ONLINE UNAVAILABLE JULY 26 - 30, 2018

Permits Online will be shut down July 26 through July 30 so that we can implement major improvements to the system.  The New Permits Online will be available on July 31, 2018.

Unfortunately, as part of the upgrade process all applications that you started and saved but did not submit to TTB will be deleted.  This applies to any record with "TMP" in the application tracking number.  If you wish to submit those applications to TTB you must do so before the system outage. Applications already submitted to TTB are not impacted.

Important dates:

July 17, 2018 - Last day to submit amended applications

July 25, 2018 - Last day to submit original applications

July 26 - 30, 2018 - Permits Online unavailable during system upgrade

July 31, 2018 - Launch of the NEW Permits Online

COMING SOON: NEW PERMITS ONLINE

The New Permits Online will be available on July 31, 2018. Here's a big change you'll see after implementation:

Paper Filers Will be Able to Use Permits Online

We're auto-transferring the records for previous applications that were submitted and approved on paper forms into the new entity and commodity record structure in Permits Online. With the exception of the few application types that cannot be filed through Permits Online, most industry members will be able to submit all new and amended applications electronically using Permits Online.

In order to ensure the security of the system, you'll have to follow a few easy steps to gain access to those records. We'll only give permission to someone who we have on record as having signing authority or power of attorney for the business. Also, if you don't already have a Permits Online account you must register for one.

Instructions for how to link your paper records to your Permits Online account and start filing amendments online will be published July 31.

See Coming Soon: The NEW Permits Online for additional details about what's changing.
