TTB LABORATORIES SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE ANNUAL REVIEW BY ISO ACCREDITATION BODY

Our four laboratories—the Beverage Alcohol Laboratory, Nonbeverage Products Laboratory, Tobacco Laboratory, and Compliance Laboratory—have successfully achieved ISO 17025 re-accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), an ISO accreditation body in the United States. During this year's review, A2LA conducted an interim assessment (document review only) of the four TTB laboratories, and the successful review allows TTB laboratories to maintain their ISO 17025 accreditation until the next A2LA on-site audit in 2019. Through ISO 17025 accreditation, TTB's laboratories achieve third party recognition of their quality data and results. ISO accreditation promotes recognition and respect for our laboratories' technical competence by industry and other agencies, both nationally and internationally.
