This special edition announces a new industry circular at TTB.gov that addresses issues relating to trade practice enforcement during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have received questions about the applicability of trade practice provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration (FAA) Act and TTB regulations in the changed business circumstances of COVID-19. Today we published an industry circular that clarifies how we will apply the FAA Act to specific practices during this time. This guidance applies to all affected TTB-regulated industry members and is subject to the specific limitations provided therein. Activities covered by this guidance include:
This guidance will be in effect from March 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020, with the possibility for extension as we may deem appropriate. This guidance applies only to Federal law. Questions about State or local restrictions should be directed to State or local alcohol beverage authorities. See TTB Industry Circular 2020-3 for details. |
