COVID-19 Special EditionExtended Waiver of Notice of Intent Requirements for Beer Destructions |
|||
On May 1, we issued a series of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that announced, among other things, that due to the business disruptions brewers are facing during COVID-19 we were waiving the regulatory requirement that brewers submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to TTB prior to destroying taxpaid beer in the marketplace. This also eliminated the 12-day waiting period. This waiver was initially provided through July 1, 2020. However, due to the ongoing and significant business disruptions due to COVID-19, we are extending the waiver through September 1, 2020. View the updated FAQs: COV-B2A and COV-B5A.
