Anthony Gledhill serves as the Assistant Administrator for Permitting and Taxation for the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).  Prior to this appointment he served as TTB’s Chief Counsel. Mr. Gledhill started his federal career in 1989 as a staff attorney with the United States Department of Treasury, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Office of Assistant Chief Counsel, Philadelphia. During his tenure with ATF, Mr. Gledhill served as a senior staff attorney in the Philadelphia and Cincinnati Offices, and as Division Counsel for the Detroit Field Division from 1998 until 2003.  In September 2003, Mr. Gledhill joined the staff of the TTB Office of Chief Counsel serving as a Senior Counsel and then, from 2008-2013, the Assistant Chief Counsel (Field Operations).  During his career, Mr. Gledhill has handled and managed enforcement cases brought pursuant to the Internal Revenue Code, Federal Alcohol Administration Act, and TTB’s enabling regulations.

Mr. Gledhill holds a B.A. from Temple University, and a J.D. from Capital University Law School, Columbus, Ohio, cum laude. He is a member of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania bar.
