Chemist Certifications for Exports

Posted 07/24/2019

We recently issued 160 new certifications to chemists and enologists during the 2019 spring cycle of the Chemist Certification Program.

TTB Chemist Certification Program

We offer the Chemist Certification Program as a service to the alcohol beverage industry to facilitate the export of domestic alcohol beverages to foreign markets. Under this voluntary program, individuals in private industry are certified to perform specific analyses that are listed in TTB Procedure 2018-2. Many countries that require a report of analysis of alcohol beverages as a condition of entry accept analyses performed by a TTB-certified chemist.

This recent addition of chemists expands our reach to the industry and helps to ensure that chemists, enologists, brewers, and technicians have the required proficiencies to conduct chemical analyses associated with exportation of alcohol beverages.

To learn more about these requirements, see TTB Procedure 2018-2, or contact our Scientific Services Division using the Scientific Services Division Contact Form.
