We recently granted administrative approval of two additional grape variety names as type designations on American wine labels: “Colorino” as a synonym for Lambrusco and “Trincadeira” as a synonym for Tinta Amarela.
Wine bottlers may use these names, as well as other names granted administrative approval, to label American wines pending the results of any subsequent rulemaking to revise the list of approved grape variety names provided in the TTB regulations at 27 CFR 4.91.
