Former President of Cherokee Tobacco and Firebird Manufacturing Indicted

FORMER PRESIDENT OF CHEROKEE TOBACCO AND FIREBIRD MANUFACTURING INDICTED

According to the April 7, 2015 press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia, Kathryn Crabtree Farley, 46, of Halifax, Virginia, was indicted last week on charges including 22 counts of fraudulent refusal to pay or evasion of over $13,000,000 in federal excise tax on cigarettes, as well as seven counts of violating the Contraband Cigarette Trafficking Act.
