All botanicals used in flavors must be approved for food use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Listing the Latin or scientific name of the botanical is highly recommended. Although it is not a comprehensive list, the following table provides the GRAS status of a number of botanical ingredients. Please be aware that the status of these products could change at any time.
