IN THIS ISSUE

Greetings! This week’s top news includes that our laboratories have achieved two-year ISO 17025 re-accreditation, our formula web page study is now closed, and we’re hiring in our Office of Analytics.

TTB LABORATORIES SUCCESSFULLY ACHIEVE ISO 17025 RE-ACCREDITATION

Our four laboratories—the Beverage Alcohol Laboratory, Nonbeverage Products Laboratory, Tobacco Laboratory, and Compliance Laboratory—have successfully achieved two year ISO 17025 re-accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), an ISO accreditation body in the United States. As part of the re-accreditation process, an A2LA auditor conducted on-site audits at our laboratories which are located in Beltsville, Maryland and Walnut Creek, California.

Through ISO 17025 accreditation, TTB’s laboratories achieve third party recognition of their quality data and results. ISO accreditation promotes recognition and respect for our laboratories’ technical competence by industry and other agencies, both nationally and internationally.
